You keep saying that last part like its true…just like your dossier comment…kinda need to take your words on a sliding scale
Exactly. The federal government is unhappy that citizens are helping refugees. Therefore they are harassing them…imaging doing that to lawyers going to the jailhouse to talk to their clients. Imagine doing that to ACLU lawyers helping citizens who have civil rights complaints against the government.
Label me unsurprised the resident Trumpsters are defending massive breach of our rights to defend Trump at all cost.
Can you imagine if the Obama administration was stopping Fox journalists when they renters the country?? I’m sure our host would gladly just shrug his shoulders and say it’s a big nothing burger.
The ACLU would file suit against the government and make a very public argument. I expect the same to happen with this.

It is if they are helping them make up fraudulent reasons.
And if they didn’t do that, they should be glad to be investigated, right?
In any case, we all know from the arguments of the last couple of years that once the investigation is started, regardless of the original basis and its legitimacy, trying to get it stopped is obstruction of justice.
None of the people that have been stopped and questioned by border agents have said they were later contacted by the FBI or CIA.
If this were truly an investigation some of these people would be called in for an interview. This seems more like harrassment and a deterrent to lawyers and journalists that might want to help the asylum seekers.
It isn’t just a legitimate investigation when Brennan, McCabe and Strzok are behind it.

Youre kidding right?
We have spent two years investigating to see if crimes could be found and now you insist that you have to find the crimes and then investigate?
Sorry, precedence has been established.
Let it die already. I am not going to respond anymore to this OP being compared to Trumps investigation. IT’s not the same thing and we are all getting tired of the deflection from an important discussion of citizen’s right being confused with your trite concerns for what is going on in Washington. I’m done with this little charade being played.

What rights are being violated?

There are good political investigations and bad political investigations, right? Some are subject to civil rights and some are not.
I have already cited and linked to the legal ruling by the Supreme Court that people can be set aside and questioned as they enter the border, so that is not even a serious question. There does not have to be probable cause of any crime or anything like it.
These people are not being arrested. It is established legal precedence.
If you want to make blanket statements that have nothing to do with my post, go right ahead, but I’d prefer that when responding to something I post, you respond with something regarding what I posted.

You seemed to have some illusion that if people like McCabe and Strzok were behind an investigation, then it was somehow more legitimate.
“None of the people that have been stopped and questioned by border agents have said they were later contacted by the FBI or CIA.”
The FBI and CIA are not the only legitimate agencies that can investigate. Nor are their top officials always trustworthy.
It certainly appears that the only agency that followed up with these people to interview them was a news agency.
What law allows the border patrol to work off a list targeting activists, organizers, the press, and lawyers. To stop and questions them, and to DEMAND TO HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR CELL PHONES (without probable cause by the way)
Sneaky. Border Patrol pulls you aside and demands to see your cell phone. Demands for you to open it up? Demands to look at your personal information contacts, recent calls. And that’s not violating Sneaky’s rights? 4th amendment ring a bell to you?
More off topic and I believe you’ve been politely asked more than once to keep the discussion to the topic of this thread.
If anyone is in favor of open borders, and against the wall, you are in favor of slave trafficking increasing in America…Period! So, confederate.
Sounds like human trafficking to me.
Human trafficking a crime!
