Hell a lot of people who live in jersey are transplants from other regions of the country for economic purposes (better jobs in jersey than their home region). So if someone migrates to jersey for economic purposes are the from their home region or do they become jerseyites because they live here now. Look at Atlanta. Full of transplants, do they become “Deep South” folks because now they live there.
