They have been, for nearly a decade. Autonomous vehicles as well.

Fine. Then if they are successful, tax their income…dont give them our tax dollars.

Sure. No one does. Blockbuster didn’t know how netflix was going to turn out too. It turned down deal to buy netflix for cheap. Look what happen.

But keep giving our tax dollars to the fossil fuel industry, because reasons.

Among the most prominent, the deal calls for “meeting 100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources.” The ultimate goal is to stop using fossil fuels entirely, Ocasio-Cortez’s office told NPR, as well as to transition away from nuclear energy.

Stop using fossil fuels entirely.

It’s the Talking Point in today’s Right Wing Energy Narrative.

We’re all going to be forced to buy EVs and solar panels and windmills as part of the Globalist Left’s Agenda To Beggar Us All.

It’s why I love it when today’s right wing pundits say they’re all for all types of energy but pooh pooh any energy source other than fossil fuels (and nuclear, of course).

Ultimate goal.

Of course it is the ultimate goal since fossil fuels are non-renewable.

Ultimate goal does not mean “achieved by next year”.

I’m not against those forms of energy at all. What I’m against is being forced to use something. Like I was against being forced to buy new policies because of Obamacare. It only leads to disastrous consequences when the mandates aren’t supported by the offerings.

No one’s forcing you to do anything.

I don’t know if the legislation went anywhere but a while back some idiot liberal in the state legislature from Oregon proposed a bill basically eliminating diesel in that state by the end of the decade.

That’s what pisses me off most. Liberals and their city goals- they’re stuck in their own bubble. They think their radical solutions that might be beneficial to people who live stacked on top of each other by the hundreds will be a good idea for people who don’t live that lifestyle. It’s like they’re just saying “ ■■■■ everyone else, this works best for me, so you just have to deal with it.”

So the green new deal is complete ■■■■■■■■ ?

Right around the corner.

How’s that high speed rail in CA coming along? On time and on budget?

Building out infrastructure to support EV is not radical.

It’s a dream.

But EVs are coming whether there’s a Green New Deal or not…and it’s going to be the next competitive sector.

If the US wants to fall behind again because today’s right wingers are scared, then…well…it will be one more step down for what was once a great country.

Mandating fossil fuels be eliminated by a date and certain types of vehicles be purchased is.

we subsidized the crap out of every emerging transportation technology since the beginning of our nation.

It’s the wise thing to do.

We subsidized the railroads. We subsidized canals and shipping. We subsidized oil and gas. We subsidzed the roads.

But let’s not dare subsidize the next wave because that’s downright communism.

We didn’t find the money to pay for any of that, see national debt for reference.
