I have heard of no such mandate even being proposed let alone voted on. But no, we should totally hold off just in case it could be true.

Why would I buy an electric car that serves me absolutely no purpose whatsoever? It’s useless for me. I take a ton of trips. Until they come up with an SUV that can go 8-10 hours a day, has 4wd for snow and trails, I can throw friends and golf clubs in the back… no desire whatsoever to consider an electric.

This idea that since you have no use for it then no one else will is very strange.

Don’t worry, the EV Infrastructure will be built out of urban and suburban centers first and then radiate out from there.

I get being contrarian, but this idea that ICE is going to all of a sudden disappear is weird.

It’s the Talking Point in today’s Right Wing Energy Narrative.

We’re all going to be forced to buy EVs and solar panels and windmills as part of the Globalist Left’s Agenda To Beggar Us All.

I’m not against those forms of energy at all. What I’m against is being forced to use something. Like I was against being forced to buy new policies because of Obamacare. It only leads to disastrous consequences when the mandates aren’t supported by the offerings.

I don’t know if the legislation went anywhere but a while back some idiot liberal in the state legislature from Oregon proposed a bill basically eliminating diesel in that state by the end of the decade.

Sure. Sure. We didn’t have the money for our adventures in Iraq or Afghanistan either and yet we still found a way to pay for it somehow. We didn’t have money to bail out the auto industry and yet we managed to pay for that somehow. We didn’t have money for the “tax cuts” that were basically a giveaway to the already wealthy, yet we managed to pay for that somehow. Funny how that works.
