When I was teaching high school back in the mid 1970’s I had a student who went to Cal Arts and was hired by a studio in Hollywood. He was a assistant producer of the game show High Rollers. And after a year on the job they offered him a spot on the show and he got to keep anything he won. And since he knew the show pretty well he did well and won a bunch of stuff. He told me that the folks at home don’t think that these shows are sometimes set-up’s.

A you accusing jeopardy of being rigged? Haven seen that anywhere.

Sad news to start the day.

IIRC Mr. Trebek was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer shortly after bringing Cindy Stowell, a 40 year old Stage IV colon cancer parient, on Jeopardy.

Ms. Stowell donated her winnings to various cancer charities & passed before getting an opportunity to see that show.

■■■■ you, cancer.

Rest In Peace, Cindy & Alex.

I could not bear the grief of watching him in his final episodes.

Dead man walking… very sad. He went out on his terms though. Doing the thing that he loved so very much. My thoughts out to his family.
