I disagree. Now, if we can argue that states would drop the time limits on abortions so that they can be done once the all clear is established, yes, abortions should be delayed. But I don’t see anyone saying that. This is an elective procedure, the girl never has to get an abortion she can simply carry the child if she wants the baby. But it is the only elective procedure that is under clear time sensitive legislation that varies state to state.

Otherwise, this just seems like an end around for the Pro Life folks to halt abortions for any time they can finagle.

With achilles ruptures the surgery vs. conventional treatments are relatively equal in long term efficacy. But you need to not only get a boot but a little foot stroller for quite a few weeks.

Athletes need the surgery, though.

Isn’t that the backbone of almost all pro-life legislation of late? Governments telling the MD when or when not they can perform the procedure? That has been going on for a long time now, and now you have a problem with it when it pertains to other elective procedures?

That is not correct. Some healthcare workers are not needed. If you work in a Plastic Surgeon’s office, you are not needed and will probably be laid off during a pandemic.

If you work in a Dentist’s office, same thing.

If you are an ICU Nurse, an ER Resident or a Cardiologist you are direly needed.

Speaking of media distorting facts trying to make it look like reopening is a disaster, I just read a “Yahoo News” article with a headline about a record number of new cases occurring Wednesday, exactly two weeks after Wisconsin was reopened. There were two big flaws in that article (unless you consider putting Yahoo together with News a flaw in itself. 1) Picking a single day tells you nothing about a trend or the results of reopening. 2) There was one sentence in the article stating (but not connecting it to the cases) that something like over 10,000 test results were dumped out on Wednesday.
The connection should be obvious.
When Thursdays results come out, do not expect to see an article titled “Dramatic Downturn in New Cases Two Weeks and a Day After Wisconsin Reopens”.
