The leap to conclusion is that he wants to kill all the problem people. Why not leap to the conclusion that he’s lamenting it’s impossible to fix the problem instead?

In regards to the blame game, Obama blamed Bush for everything that went wrong in his administration. He still does to this day.

He was right in some cases. Two wars that cost us thousands of lives and trillions of dollars-that was Bush. Bush presided over the economic downturn. Obama inherited that.

What I find to be the height of arrogance though is him claiming credit for everything good that Trump is doing. That takes some serious gall.

It’s takes some serious gall for Trump to take credit for much more than not ■■■■■■■ up the economy he inherited. Trump is a relief pitcher that came into a game in the 8th inning when his team had a 20-0 lead. He got out 6 batters in a row, which is AWESOME-but you don’t say he singlehandedly saved the game-you wouldn’t name him MVP.

Looks to me like he was brainstorming on solutions to the problems someone was articulating. He admitted that the "solution was “bad”, but presumably he couldn’t [yet] think of a more viable solution. I didn’t think he was advocating killing homosexuals and transgenders as his final position, but rather it seemed to me that he was fishing for alternatives that were better.

Seems like a perfectly acceptable discussion between friends wrestling with a thorny ethical issue, which he perhaps mistakenly thought was happening via private messaging. It’s not the sort of comment you would want to let loose on a public forum though, where most people are not capable of distinguishing between considering all possible options out loud and advocating a settled policy.

So, what solution would others in this forum suggest to the concern that - “We live in a society where homosexuals lecture us on morals, transvestites lecture us on human biology, baby killers lecture us on human rights and socialists lecture us on economics”?

I just breezed through this thread and saw maybe 1 or 2 republicans say that what the Alabama politician said was horrible.

Think about that. He was talking about death.

Now, let’s go back 50 or 100 years and think about the conversations that were being had about which groups needed to be murdered then in Alabama (or elsewhere). Who were they?
