AI chip with the compute power of a human brain

He held his second press conference of his presidency recently. Let’s go Brandon.

We are nowhere near close to this yet.

Not concerned.

Someday this will be I-Robot on steroids. It won’t be a terminator built by the military. It will be an AI controlled domestic/industrial worker android that goes off the rails. And the super rich will be the ones driving its development to automate their domestic help and workforce. Want a maid, a lawn boy, a personal driver? One of these can be all three in one package. Need more workers capable of doing work requiring human dexterity, comes assembled, or as a kit. No HR, changing labor costs or issues.

We will go there and it will be laziness and greed that gets us there.

The desire to do less is the driving force behind every technology.

Well at least run models real time so we can move on to the next idea that may or may not work.

Something that should have told him you can’t make an element with a big pipe wrench.

But he DID.

(Actually he didn’t. Wakanda already had it…).

It only needs the ability hack into other systems undetected to be a threat.

Which it will surely have. I mean, how could something bigger than the internet not have access to the internet?

With more computing power, independent “thought” and unlimited time (no sleep) this could very well bring us closer, faster to an iRobot like reality. It could also, as mentioned earlier, create cheap readily available energy solutions.

Start wars, shut down satellites, inject it’s intelligence into the cloud, whatever one can dream up is all becoming possible.

It can’t inject its intelligence into the cloud, the cloud isn’t a brain computer. Stop being ridiculous. :joy:

Dammit…

It did on that tv show.

Alas, not brain power equivalent, turns out dendrites also compute.

Waste not, want not! Using the wiring as additional processing threads is a brilliant decision in the designing process.

Looks like they’ll have to make clusters out of the chip in the OP going forward.
