Come on man. Helen Keller could see that’s the correct verdict.

Can’t wait

I am setting here listening to Rev Al claim that the verdict was brought about by the protesters. That is just him trying to claim the jury’s thunder. The case was pretty straight forward. The rest of the speakers are sounding very level headed and giving credit to the law and the jury who reached the decision.

…and surely the MSM will label it another…wait for it…accident?

Not hardly. They’ll label it white supremacy and project it on everyone. lol

The system worked twice in one week! This was a clear-cut case of vigilante murder and not self-defense by any stretch of the imagination no matter what Arbery’s motivation or intent was and IMO it was a racially driven hate crime.

I can see their characters reacting to the color of the victim’s skin as a factor. Not sure they set out to kill him, more likely they didn’t actually expect him to resist and the shooter panicked. Still murder, still guilty as sin, still by all appearances a just verdict against each one.

I was so ready to be “disappointed”

Risky post if you ask me, I wouldn’t rule out retaliation this quickly. There aren’t as many as some people claim but they do exist.

I hear you but…weighing out what we’ve all witnessed, I believe the laws of probability are on my side. That said, we had a similar exchange when I associated the Wisconsin massacre with the Rittenhouse verdict right after it happened. Sometimes the dots connect and sometimes they don’t. In this instance, I don’t see them connecting.

My understanding is that, at the end of the day, juries are human, laws are subject to interpretation, lawyers are talented at arguing, and juries and judges susceptible to those arguments.

I would be concerned if all of these marquee trials ended up the same way.

A diversity in outcomes is good as no two cases are exactly the same.

Wait for the sentencing.

This will give us some insight.

Well, you think that OJ was held to the same standards as whites?

Bottom line in this country, skin color has nothing to do with iit.

It is all about the number of priors you have and the size of your bank account.

Each had videos that showed the events on trial and IMO…in each case, the right verdict was reached. Also, I agree. No two are the same.

I don’t know enough about the back story to bring race into it, but these men got a HUGE break… initially.

Before the video made it to the public their local police and DA looked over this clear cut evidence and decided it was an OK killing. And also misled Aubery’s mother to make it sound like a more clear cut defensive shoot.

Ultimately they were found guilty, but I’m not real satisfied about the initial free pass. Local guys cozy with the police against a not-so-local guy?

That system did not work and needed state level intervention.

Let’s also not forget that the only reason the video became public is because one of the murderers sent it to a radio station.

Had the cops seen it when they gave them a pass? If so, yeah that needs cleaned up.
