Which the judge shot down because you don’t get to make the arrest weeks/months after the supposed crime…and you actually had to have seen the crime happen.
Funny to watch the defense call for a mistrial because the judge showed their defense was worthless.

Personally I’m shocked (assuming this is the case) that their defense attorney did not persuade them to plea bargain.
From what I’ve heard, they tried. The prosecution said nope.
If I recall correctly, the defense tried to arrange for a plea deal and the prosecution told them to get bent.
So in other words their were no terms under a plea deal which the prosecution would accept?
But you can usually get a shorter sentence if you plead guilty, shows remorse and accountability and the judge may consider it in sentencing. Judges aren’t fond of clearly guilty people wasting their time. Of course there is no guarantee, But they didn’t have much hope of getting off given the facts.

They didn’t have a problem with the trespassing Ashli Babbit being executed.

I’m not understanding their strategy. The dirty toenail comment is quite insulting to the dead man and his family. Are they purposely trying to throw the case?
Ashli actually Committed a CRIME…WITNESSED by real law enforcement officers…and anyone that has access to the internet.
She was warned by law enforcement people (COPS) to stand down…
She didn’t.
She came to DC to “protest”…then lost her mind and decided to wreck havoc and the COPS told her “NO…here and no further!”
She made a CHOICE to ignore the warning
And her ass got shot and killed because of the decision she made.
Now…some here might agree with the decision she made…

But you can NOT blame anyone ELSE for the DECISION she MADE!
She BROKE the LAW!
