An interesting opinion piece from Fox.
With the money they make, they won’t even notice it, honestly. There are wealthy people in NYC that spend a quarter million on a damn watch or purse. A million on a car they don’t even plan on driving. Meanwhile their secretaries pay a higher percentage of their income on taxes and can’t afford rent (in buildings owned by their bosses, amongst others).
It doesn’t take a lot to take care of people when it comes to basic needs. As long as the taxes aren’t punitive (which is not going to happen) life will go on, just a little bit better for the folks who actually work hard for a living.

Jay jones is not a moderate. He fantasized about killing his opponent and his family. Also got zero punishment for driving fifty over the limit. Wait… his punishment was 500 hours spent on working on his campaign.

Why not? NYC is 100% democrat.
Sure, some people are stupid rich. But smart rich people will flee if Zohran tries to take too much. Rich people can use technology to run their enterprises from anywhere in the world. And they can hire experts to shield their wealth from being plundered for a lot less money than they might lose in taxes.

Looks like Seattle is still in peril. The Liberal incumbent Mayoral candidate is in the lead by 7 points over the super progressive challenger, but they are still counting votes (100% mail-in) and she is expected to close the gap. For the sake of that once terrific city I hope she fails. The Mayor they have is bad enough.

I agree, I just think there is ample meat on that bone and there will still be plenty left for the wealthy to continue their lifestyles without too much bother. Living in NYC has its benefits you know, there is a reason why the wealthy live there and not Long Island or Connecticut.

Government does not create jobs. The free market and the private sector are the job creators.
Individual liberty and limited government are what we need for a prosperous economy - - - limited government and limited policies that support private enterprises.
That truth has not changed since there has been an organized society. Government needs to get out of the way.
