Soon the whole Earth is going to be a psych ward. For multiple reasons.

Sporks only, please.

From constant announcements like “For the safety of our customers, please remain 6 feet apart”, to pulling knives from shelves, I’m sick of moronic expressions like “staying safe” at the grocery store.

There are even “Women With Infant” parking spaces. So having a baby in tow means one shouldn’t have to walk to get groceries? I missed that memo & walked, never used those idiotic spaces.

Meh, I don’t mind preferential parking for moms. But I tend to park where I can pull out in the front instead of reverse, which alway puts me not close to the front, that’s ok, I know how to walk. The effort people go to in order to be closer baffles me. If they have workable legs anyway.

I’m sure you could kill someone with many things available in supermarket. You could club someone to death with a frozen meat pack or a shopping cart. Must remove those too.

You could always shove frozen peas up someone’s nose.

That’s just it!

No one is in a position to complain about obesity when so much effort is expended in not even walking from their cars. Physically handicapped—not just wheelchair bound, but anyone with a condition for whom walking more than a short distance would be a hardship—are the only ones who should get ANY accommodations.

Maybe if more pregnant women were expected to walk, there wouldn’t be the gestational diabetes increases there are now:

Tired of bubble wrapping at the grocery store, from mom accommodations to home delivery to “staying safe” campaigns. Personally I’ll even hold my breath when outdoors & employees are having a smoke.

Forget bubble wrapping. Put all eating utensils back on the shelves!

This man did:

Is lighter fluid still available at the grocery? Cigarette lighters? Wooden matches?

Well it looks like it’s one store it’s fairly silly knifes are needed in everyday use. I can imagine handing the wife a butter knife to cut her steak she would probably stab me with one of my daughters kindergarten plastic scissors.

My criteria is next to the cart return. This was my main concern when mine was a tot. I could load and get rid of the cart right next to me. That usually meant we had to park farther away, but I still do that today.

The worst was living on the east coast and all the people that just park right in front of the store in the fire lane.

I’ve lived on the East Coast most of my life and don’t see that happening here. People here are generally respectful and don’t park in HC spaces unless they have the required plates/tags or in fire lanes.

Don’t recall seeing it much in Jersey but it was definitely a thing in Delaware when I left.

I can’t speak for Delaware.

In the New York metro area people are, for the most part, civil and respectful.

Depends on one’s definition of civil and respectful.

Or perhaps on one’s preconceived notions.

That is something to ponder .

How is it a preconceived notion? When it is based on direct observation.

Noticed the response to your comments was, “crickets.”

You left em speechless. :cricket:+10

Really?

Well, I guess you know everything there is to know about folks in the New York metro area.

Far be it from me to contradict your knowledge.
