I’ve read many a time on this very forum that legislating or decision making based on feeeeelinngss is a bad thing. Still true?

Isn’t that what I said?

Is it…?

Don’t be silly. Trump is not a member here.

That tweet could mean anything … remember he lies about everything.

Leftists just want to stop Conservatives from stopping them.

Mic drop.

Good. Because you would lose.

I realize that’s rough here. There are a couple of rural county Sheriffs who are more amenable than urban Sheriffs if you are willing to travel to their county to apply.

I feel our gun laws here are onerous but I haven’t been hearing of wholesale gun grabbing yet.

I consider gun laws in general to be infringements on the 2nd Amendment but I’m not in step with some of my Californian brethren on that.
:sunglasses:

You got a valid carry permit? Know any ordinary citizens who do?

Are those “rural” permits good statewide?

Actually an experience I had a visiting an ATM a few weeks back has me considering applying for a concealed carry permit. I’m too old and slow to take on young guys with my fists these days.

I would have felt more secure armed than just carrying my pepper spray container concealed in my palm when facing the distinct possibility of having 4 four guys at least three decades younger than myself giving me a beatdown.

Good luck.

Thanks. I need to go visit some friends up in the Gold Rush country up by Angel’s Camp sometime soon. I hear their Sheriff is a fan of the 2nd.

Is his permit good state-wide?

I need to double check that but I think so.

ETA: Looks like I have to apply with my own Sheriff.

Some States allow local jurisdictions to enact laws within those jurisdictions that are more stringent than Sate law.
