Affidavit: 12-year-old Iowa boy points gun at teacher, pulls trigger

Whoever owns the gun should be in jail for not properly securing it against unauthorized access.

This was your claim, it was then and remains now baseless garbage.

Yet since lawful carry and user friendly self defense laws have expanded all over the country our violent crime rate has been cut by half.

As usual you are bereft of facts.

Who are you to define what is “properly securing it”?

Guns will be stolen no matter how well we secure them.

That’s hardly causality.

If you want people to have guns then lets do what the Swiss do.

Interviews with felons tell us it has a great deal to do with it. They recognize the deterrent effect and consider it when choosing targets.

You can’t however demonstrate that allowing the law abiding to carry in any way causes an increase in violent crime.

The fact remains, more guns in the hands of the law abiding has resulted in lower violent crime rates in spite of the anti gun claims that it will have the opposite effect.

No, if you want to live as the Swiss do pack up and leave. We have a constitution that guarantees our right to keep and bear.

A very small percentage of our population is responsible for roughly 80% of all crime in the US including murders and none of them can legally possess a firearm.

How about instead of attacking law abiding gun owners we instead put the focus on where the actual problem is for a change?

You mean just put them up against a wall and shot them, like they do in the Philippines. That’s where it goes with gunutters.

In a manner that makes it extremely unlikely that a 12 year old would be able to obtain unauthorized access. For example, if it was in an unlocked drawer or something, lock the owner up.

Ok, go for it.

Fortunately there is treatment for delusional disorders available. Seek it.

Um every swiss citizen is armed.

No they aren’t. Quit making things up.

From wiki.

The Swiss Armed Forces, including the Land Forces and the Air Force, are composed mostly of conscripts, male citizens aged from 20 to 34 (in special cases up to 50) years. Being a landlocked country, Switzerland has no navy; however, on lakes bordering neighbouring countries, armed military patrol boats are used. Swiss citizens are prohibited from serving in foreign armies, except for the Swiss Guards of the Vatican, or if they are dual citizens of a foreign country and reside there.

**** Some organisations and political parties find this practice controversial[67]. Women can serve voluntarily. Men usually receive military conscription orders for training at the age of 18.[68] About two thirds of the young Swiss are found suited for service; for those found unsuited, various forms of alternative service exist.[69] Annually, approximately 20,000 persons are trained in recruit centres for a The structure of the Swiss militia system stipulates that the soldiers keep their Army issued equipment, including all personal weapons, at home.duration from 18 to 21 weeks. The reform “Army XXI” was adopted by popular vote in 2003, it replaced the previous model “Army 95”, reducing the effectives from 400,000 to about 200,000. Of those, 120,000 are active in periodic Army training and 80,000 are non-training reserves.[70]

Which in no way supports what you claimed.

Every Swiss Citizen is not armed, not even close.

Sorry but your wrong.

You’re just making a fool of yourself with such a claim.

Less that 10% of the population is armed and allowed to keep their issued weapons at home.

What kid points a gun at his teacher & pulls the trigger? And what parent doesn’t keep their firearm away from that child? Something isn’t right in that family.
