There have been studies and they have found this not to be the case.

I say we assign blame to everyone and everything except the shooter. That should help.

It is a completely spurious argument because it doesn’t explain why it is a peculiarly USA phenomenon when people in other countries play the same video games.

Please explain why players of the same video games in other countries are not affected in the same way? Is it because of the availability of guns in the USA?

Every time there is another mass gun shooting those who have survived one or more in the past are forced to re-live their experiences and the trauma associated with those incidents. Similarly, for those who have lost loved ones and friends.

I posted this earlier. I decided to re-post in case anyone missed it. The link below documents gun shootings in the USA in 2019. It goes to 10 pages with about 25 incidents per page.

Another senseless tragedy…
Ive heard theres a manifest…Anti-hispanic manifest, that is. We are starting to reap the fruits of Trumps rethoric, i guess.

How could the Founders possibly have imagined this?

All I said is they ā€œcan play a roleā€. I don’t view the video games in any way as the number one reason for these types of events. I’ve worked with high school kids for a number of years and I’ve overheard conversations with students implying as such.

No let’s joke and obfuscate and pretend an anti-hispanic mass shooting has nothing to do with the rhetoric of the last 4 years.

Read my response in post 211. Clearly the availability and access to guns is a significant factor as well.

Pretty common for people who dont play games

I’ll laugh and joke about any clown who tries to blame Trump for an individual’s actions, especially when those clowns are from the same group that falls over themselves to defend Islam and bash Christianity when the mass shooter doesn’t line up with their preferred boogeyman.

That’s good because I don’t want to drop the rhetoric, the crowds love it!

Also Antifa needs to be designate as a major terror organization immediately.

Online, I’ve seen a visceral, kneejerk, furious, conversation-ending response from some quarters whenever talk of racism pops up.

I would kindly request that someone explain that response to me in the most basic language.

If I absolutely hate a topic, then I just avoid it. It is an easy solution that makes my day easier. Why would I feel the need to interject my hatred into a topic that annoys me anyway? My ego doesn’t need more stroking. And besides, aren’t there Netflix shows that I could be watching?

Movies and tv series are way worse if you want to go that route.

Why would anyone feel the need to ā€œdefend Islamā€ when a mass shooting happens? We all know the shooter and only the shooter is responsible, there would be nothing to defend. It’s not like people scream ā€œif you can’t name the enemy you can’t defeat it! RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISMā€ or maybe ā€œIslam hates usā€
