That red nose is suspect.

What does having tattoos have to do with anything?

Low budget movies doesn’t attract the best talent.

What can I say?

The problem with film production is that safety is literally the last thing that is thought of and while getting a first time armorer isn’t the worst thing in the world… we all have to have our first times… the vetting for a position like that seemed lax.

She could have gotten that position because of her father and it is sad that she did not take the job as seriously as she should have to tragic ends.

Productions get away with stuff like this because while dangerous things happen, they rarely end in death.

Her qualifications seem to be working on a previous movie as an armorer, and working with her dad who is an armorer.

Seems sufficient to me.

There still quite a bit information needed to know exactly who is at fault

But it is clear, they were not following the strictest of safety standards.

Just as you stated…and just what I would want/do to make sure for myself. It only seems logical.

Actor Ray Liotta told The Associated Press that he was shocked by the on-set shooting, noting that gun checks are typically very extensive during filming.

“They always — that I know of — they check it so you can see,” said the “Goodfellas” star. “They give it to the person you’re pointing the gun at. They do it to the producer. They show whoever is there that it doesn’t work.”

You guys know what this proves? Instead of teaching kids how to be sexual deviant, what should be teaching is gun safety and handling.

Chew on that libs.

I bet the woman that Alec Baldwin shot wished she had gun safety/handling.

Annnd the typical family classlessness …

Yeah for one…not allow and idiot like Baldwin with a weapon of any kind.

Well that is gross

:flushed:

Yes, exactly. Was she hired because of her appearance?

Or were her family connections the factor?

Reports are coming out that her previous actions raised questions about gun safety, so safety and experience did not appear to be deciding factors. It sounds like she was an accident waiting to happen. Why did Producer Baldwin trust her to handle the guns for the production?

Yup. Anytime someone has handed me a gun, I’ve checked it myself. Should be part of a basic safety check.

In school? Nah, most kids will never be around guns.

That’s not how it is portrayed on the Evening News …

And most kids will never be around sexual cross dressing freak…in fact I would say they more likely will be around guns then those cross dressing freaks.

If I’m the one who didn’t load the gun, yes. I double check.

But children should be taught proper handling techniques and respect for the firearm. Even if they have no desire to shoot. They should know how to safely handle one. Teach them the basic rules of gun safety. That way if they do decide to handle one they’ll know how to do it safely.

A firearm is a tool. But it is a very powerful tool. In negligent hands they are very dangerous. As this case and many others before it have shown.
