saying that does not make it true, it just puts you in denial. you are cherry picking evidence to support your denial instead of looking at all of the evidence. The question that needs to be answered is why those places did not have spikes given that all evidence says they should have. There is only one answer that fits. They were already hit and had higher levels of people walking around with antibodies at the time of the protests. Other factors could be wearing of masks at the protests by COVID positive people. Having been hit, I’m betting the protesters in Europe did take that precaution. Our protesters… not so much

Gaiters, bandannas, pulling your shirt up over your face, masks with unfiltered exhaust ports, poorly fitted or incorrectly worn masks.

Some clown in the grocery store recently rolled right into my personal space with a bandanna on last time I went, wanted to slap him.

Look how those numbers shot up near the end of May.

What do you know…

Thats really funny, seeing as how most of europe is only testing people with symptoms and 80% of COVID positives are asymptomatic. Once again, ignoring the facts that do not fit your narrative does not make the narrative true.

Yes the argument is fake.

Avoiding a disease you can avoid with simple steps that don’t, in fact, threaten to get rid of your ā€œFreebertyā€ is not a question of fear or courage.

This is a major reason our response has been so terrible…because of a small but significant fraction of our population that looks at the simplest steps to mitigate as all out assaults on our liberties.

That was when the sun belt started to get hit with it.

More testing does not correlate to increased infections.

Because math.

If the testing in Europe was inadequate we would be seeing increasing spikes in hospitalization and death like we do here.

We don’t.

Stop making excuses for the failure of the President.

Italy is only testing people with symptoms. They have no idea how many asymptomatic cases are present.

Um…a goodly portion of that 295 m are kids or retired.

Most of the rest are still working.

Those that are not are mostly in industries that are going to take a long time to even get back to a semblance of normal even after the pandemic is over.

Yep, simplest steps like not rioting and looting.

If one accepts that premise, it weakens your argument.

and the number of people with active antibodies will be waning in Europe. When it does, more cases will occur. How many? Hard to say. So far there have been few re infections.

Or storming City Hall because masks take away my Freeberty.

Right around the time some states started opening up their bars and restaurants and people started acting as if the pandemic was over.

That wasn’t just about masks, people get antsy when you make them unemployed.

If it is lack of testing that is hiding the rate of Infection in Italy then we would see the real numbers in the death rate. Hard to hide dead bodies.

As you can see the death rate in Italy has plummeted because the infection rate is under control.

The US has yet to achieve this because the infection is running out of control here.

Damn. Italy is able to handle it better than the US.

That should give people pause.

But they do know how many people are dying

Are any actual epidemiologists making the argument about antibodies being a large factor in the places where the spread is under control or is this an Internet thing?

With precautions in place. And people were still being cautious. Then people stopped being cautious. There was some big event. Something about ā€œthe largest protest movement in history.ā€

Ring any bells??

And imagine if they had just followed those simplest of steps…maybe not as many of them would have been unemployed.

And additionally the processes to support those unemployed were set up in the stupidest of ways so that it’s no wonder they got antsy.

But as usual they were told to get antsy at the wrong things.
