There you go. Beliefs formed in high school are formed by people with limited knowledge, very little experience, and immature brains not fully capable of making rational decisions.

I should have realized you are just s[it balling ideas.
That said.
If I lend to Joe and Joe pays it back I can get stuff,
(like medical care or a college education for my son)
or I can lend to Mary and later to Sue and so on.
If Joe gets some crazy idea that not paying it back deprives me of nothing then he deprives, me of medical care, or my son of college, or Mary and/or Sue of whatever they would have gotten.
That cap would be a start, but I’d also like to get certain degrees classified as hobbies, and only allow universities to charge 10% of what the marketable major courses charge per credit hour.
A BA in Art costing only 10k wouldn’t be as big of a punch in the gut, and could easily be paid off while working at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s.
