The assertion that the violence that occurred in some of the BLM protests was “normalized” or acceptable is a RW meme. No credible person in the media or on the left justified the looting and opportunistic criminals that caused havoc. But I can see how some can see it that way…

As far as Trumps’ presidency, and the multiple investigations…that was “politics”.
Not saying they were not justified, but it is how DC works. Republicans treated Obama, and his cabinet poorly and conducted many investigations…to no avail. Yet, they kept trying.

Glad to you see you at least blame part of it on Trump and his rhetoric.

Not an excuse.
Read the article.

Do you think that the left supporting the rhetoric of antifa and blm rioters caused them to continue to riot and sparked so many events?

No credible person on the left support the rioters.

It’s an excuse. And a poor one.

Some will never open their eyes. Summer of love.

Maybe if you read the entire piece, you opinion would change.

Or not.

Now there is some irony.

It’s not me who is trying to the blm and antifa are conservatives.

The normalizing of riots was real, be it the media proclaiming the “mostly peaceful” narrative, elected officials standing in support of further action without condemnation of violence, or the general attitude of “what do you expect” from sympathizers. Real normalization.

As example, the entire roosky stooge hoax was amplified with terms like treason, traitor and a continual assurance that solid proof of treachery was just around the corner, a claim widely echoed in an all too complicit media. A mirror of the very actions the perpetrators previously decried. DC politics? Sure, and now normalized to a lower level.

We can debate merits of these acts, we can argue their level of effect, but what we can’t do is ignore the fact that they are contributing factors leading up to the events at hand.

Why would I question the police being prepared to bust heads? I expect that.

Sigh…

It was not a hoax. Barr and the RW media did a masterful job of downplaying the whole ordeal.

Will be interesting when the rest of the story is revealed.

Both questions are valid.

I don’t.

I believe they were, in the jurisdiction of the DC police department.

And the irony that the latter led to the former.

Of course it will. But thank you.

So we’re sure it’s racism? We’ve decided?

So we’re sure? That’s what we’re going with?
