A return to civility and decorum

A listing of political and personal insults by the outgoing president.

Good riddance to the nastiness.

So many people I witness, spend more time looking backwards than forwards and fail to see the train coming.

The people who welcomed the Trump train, cheered as it flew off the tracks and plowed through the country, then claimed all is good are now prophesying fire and brimstone. Interesting.

What was the worse that Obama called trump?

And the opposite question.

And therein lies the truth.

I am always looking forward…but it is often good to be retrospective on things like a president’s last day in office. I heard him talk about how they have cut out the red tape for vets getting medical services. I think this is one of the biggest things he has done in his presidency. I think vets have been treated horribly for decades…I am glad he put his money where his mouth is so to speak…on this issue

Obama was no choirboy when it came to insulting the opposition. Just more eloquent. Heck his biting wit is most likely the reason we had a President Trump to begin with.

Well there is that!

Obama was a very divisive and oftimes insulting president.

A true Alinsky disciple who believed in dividing at every opportunity.

I had him in mind when i asked when lib pols have ever been civil.

Still,
he never attacked anyone’s wife on the campaign trail did he? He saved his criticisms for the political arena. Not the Personal one.

I recall long before Trump even became president, he made his comment about liking soldiers who weren’t captured as an attack on McCain.

My own grandfather was a POW in WWII, and while I only heard parts of his story while there, it was bad enough that it has stuck with me throughout life. I still recall waking up at night hearing him screaming.

I knew immediately when Trump had the audacity to attack our POW’s in that way that I would never, under any circumstances, vote for him. Am I glad to see him go? You’re damn right I am. Anyone who has that attitude towards those who have suffered so much for our country doesn’t deserve to occupy the office of President of the United States.

Was that OBAMA that actually said that? I can’t remember.

I already said, he was more eloquent.

Yes…

And history proved him wrong. Turns out ©they would ditch any and all principles in an instant because a conman told ©them to.

I agree with you…until I saw plan “B”. Many of Trump’s comments were disgusting but that said, I knew Hillary was a worse choice…just like I know Biden is now.

There’s no “civility” in today’s Democratic party.

That was about trump supporters not trump personally

Here are a few recent trump quotes about Obama

1.“drawing VERY small (tiny) numbers of people,”

  1. “hate laced speeches,”

  2. “No energy,”

  3. “spied on my campaign,”

  4. “criminal,”

  5. “destroyed the lobster and fishing industry in Maine,”

  6. “Administration has now been caught cold illegally spying on the Trump campaign,”

  7. “was always playing golf,”

  8. “was always wrong,”

  9. “a disaster in handling the H1N1 Swine Flu,”

  10. “disastrous approval numbers,”

Just a small sample from our outgoing POTUS about his predecessor.
