Hmm, It seems some Detroit area hospitals also hit capacity.

I never heard of it … for all I knew, TF could have stood for Top Fudpucker.

The tattoo artist thing makes me laugh. They already wear masks and use hygiene.

Many hospitals that were nowhere near capacity turned people away.

Is it really important for you to start up another nit pick discussion?

Everyone familiar with TF-145? That doesn’t narrow the field. Your planet isn’t as big as you think.

I’m not sure what the argument here is about the hospitals. We planned on hospitals being overrun…Hospitals weren’t overrun. I have a family member who needed some surgery a couple of months ago, thankfully she’ll get it at the end of this month, but this should have been done before now.
A simple google search of concepts like “Hospital layoffs during Coronavirus” finds multiple stories.
Those are all headlines and links…I could keep going if you want.
Mr. Hannity speaking with former Mayor Giuliani talked about the extra capacity New York had, the ship and the Javits Center never came close to capacity. “MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The 2,500-bed federal hospital at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Manhattan, which was quickly mobilized in an effort to greatly expand New York’s hospital capacity, was set to close Friday after transferring its last patients back to local hospitals, federal officials said.
The Javits Center facility had treated about 1,100 patients, less than half of the hospital’s total capacity, in one month, a spokesman from the Federal Emergency Management Agency confirmed with Patch.” Javits Center Hospital Closes, Feds Say
Look it’s great that we didn’t flood the hospitals for weeks on end with Covid patients…but thank God we’re starting to open up that part of the economy again.
This nation needs to get moving…

Point these people out, with posts with exact wording that states they want things shut down until we have a vaccine or zero infections.
Those exact words, not your “translation” of them.

And oh by the way, and this is a departure from my original post in this thread…But it’s not enough that we get this economy moving and get this country moving in that direction again…
We as American citizens had better start to keep a close eye on our civil liberties because there are a bunch of tin pot dictator governors out there who are way too proud of having a little extra power. They can’t just lock us in our homes and tell us we aren’t “essential” forever. We now know who’s most at risk, who’s least at risk…Let us do everything we can to protect the old and infirm, the ones with pre existing conditions who are most vulnerable, and let us get the productive people back to living their lives, working, pursuing their passions and enjoying the freedom that makes this country special.

Ok. I believe it. Doesn’t change the quote I provided…

Pull the daily population counts and let’s see them.
It means they acted out of an abuncance of caution so they could be sure and have enough ICU beds and vents available for their existing hospitalized cases who can turn bad literally in seconds and die without an available ventilator.
It was the responsible thing to do but they never ran out of beds, it was precautionary.
Why is that so difficult to wrap your head around?
It was only constantly in the news for aboutt 15 years during The Hunt for Bin Laden.
Shall we go all the way back to the various TF’s from WWII for you or can you handle that on your own?
No thanks. The quotes from the hospitals suffice for me.
But I am quite happy that social distancing seems to have helped flatten the curve. In my city I tracked cases and you can see the rate suddenly decrease, likely due to the effects of social distancing.
I’d like to think the worst is over.
Just what we’ve come to expect from you. Thanks for the consistency.
Did you ever find your way back to the Global Warming thread and answer the question you’ve dodged a half dozen times or so?
As I said in that thread, I’m not your google. If you don’t know the answer, google it.
I know the answer but apparently it keeps eluding you. Let’s go back and discuss it shall we?
If you know the answer then why are you asking?
I recognize that’s your interpretation.
