I don’t think some give a rat’s bum about anything or anyone but their sacred “freedom of choice”.
There was a nurse in RI awhile back who “wouldn’t put that poison (flu shot) in my body” and claimed the mask “gave her headaches”.
IIRC RI has a flu vaccine or choice of mask mandate for health care workers. Hospital fired this ass clown.
A relative of mine doesn’t believe in flu shots even though she works in close proximity to such patients. I do believe she’s voluntarily staying home at this time.

Sort of what I was getting at, shouldn’t they be fired?
Oh absolutely, unless they can legitimately claim allergy to a component of the vaccine in question, or immuno suppression therapy, for example, if they had autoimmune disorder like M S. In those instances, a mask should do.
Refusal to do either—they should be careful the door doesn’t hit them in the ass on the way out.
Yeah I think people who have higher risks to dying from covid maybe should lean towards taking it. I work in Healthcare and I am one of those who will not be taking it. My friend said he will be taking it.
There are other healthcare workers, I know personally, who said they are waiting for the other vaccine to be released.

The doctors in my family took it.

If their elderly parents are between 65 and 75, in most states they will not be able to get shots, while the 30 year old children who don’t need them can.

You realize that a normal approval process has several months of animal trials (skipped). Then a year or two of very limited human trials. Then another year or two of wider human trials. Then another two years of human trials. Usually takes 6 years to get approval. This was approved in 6 months. Where we would normally be moving from animals to humans.
That’s why on my social media page, my picture is of a lab tech given a rat an injection.
Is it at all possible that many of these workers are passing on the shot to help the extremely vulnerable?

I think there may be several reasons. Some may have had the virus; some may be passing so the more vulnerable might be served; some may want the single dose vaccine; some may not react well to any vaccine; some may not want the vaccine. In my immediate family 3 out of 4 will take the vaccine; I will decline because I do not react well to anything. I do not take 'flu shots, I went through natural childbirth, and the only over-the-counter medication I take is the occasional aspirin. My drink limit is a half-cordial sized portion of wine; no recreational drugs, etc. because I do not react well to those either. Everyone needs to be free to decide what is best for them.

I understand in full, and support it in every aspect but maybe in abnormal situations like a global pandemic that has already killed 350,000 in the U.S. while Moderna had the vaccine finished in two days on January 13th 2020, before any cases were reported in America.
Maybe the way drugs are approved in severe cases like the COVID-19 pandemic which I haven’t seen in my lifetime may prompt for a discussion on how these vaccines are approved. Again I am only referring to situations that come around 1-2 times max in a century, everything else in drug approval proceeds as before.
Correct. That just means you haven’t had a recent exposure or vaccination.
Or like most people you’ve had it a lot more times but just not severe enough for you to realize it.
For me it’s 40 years and counting, came down with a wicked case of the flu when I was 23.
Really bad. Knocked me out for 2 weeks.
Haven’t had it since then.

The wife just told me that many on the front line are young female nurses who haven’t had their babies yet and do not want to put the vaccine in their body prior to having children.
The hospital I work at , less than 20% got the vaccine.
Good moves me up the line.

Here, you probably could have already gotten it. Except as of yesterday, we don’t have anymore.
There is plenty of vaccine here in jersey…

Hold on for one second here. A mask should do? Then why bother with the vaccine if a mask is just as good? What’s the reason they should be fired again? Because they’re putting other people at risk, right? So if that’s the case, why should any excuse allow you to continue working there? Sounds contradictory to me. But then again, I’m thinking as a long time member of unions. Non union work places aren’t required to make sense.
Up until yesterday I thought there was plenty in Oklahoma too. Probably our punishment for being red. Lol
