Had an aunt and uncle that lived in Sun City Center. I visited them there with my parents in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Of course, they are long long gone.

We moved here in April, just when the pandemic was getting bad. We have yet to join any community activities, most everyone is still isolating. It is lovely here, we’re on a nice sized lake, but we’ve learned to never let the dogs out before checking for gators who love to sun themselves in my back yard.

Trump signs everywhere you look.

I live in a huge “age qualified” community in Florida. In fact, the entire unincorporated town is restricted to age 55 and over. In 2016, no matter where you went, you would see a trump sign/flag/banner. My husband (first time ever typing that, I got married on Saturday) and I would drive around and if we were lucky, we’d see a dozen or so Hillary signs, compared to the thousands for trump. Fast forward to 2020? We drove around yesterday with pad and pencil and drove our golf cart through perhaps 10% of the town. We saw 173 signs for trump and 231 signs for Biden. This would have been unimaginable at any other time. Our town is the blood red spot in an otherwise pale blue county.

I’d congratulate you on your nuptials but we all know your husband is the one who married up. Amirite? Amirite?

Its not just how many support which candidate that counts, its how many will actually go so far as to vote.

While it does look like Biden will win, if the opposite happens I am not sure how polling sites will be able to dig themselves out of this one.
