I think that psychiatry places too much of an emphasis on medication and not enough on actual therapy. Plus…meds are being prescribed by Primary Care Physicians who really don’t have a whole lot of psychiatric experience. Psychiatrists don’t spend any time talking to patients about how they feel or how they are feeling on medications…they just have the patient come in…for med management, ask a few questions, bill $200 bucks for 15 minutes and then refill the prescription for another three months.

To me that is as big an issue as any.
