I keep forgetting, they don’t teach history anymore in schools. Or much of anything else apparently…
I suppose your right. Islamic countries treat you like royalty, unless your a female, gay or an infidel, or if your teenager who acts to “western”. Apparently you’ve never heard they can behead you on a public sidewalk for those things. Ok, I exaggerate. They don’t actually behead someone JUST for being female, they have to commit some serious crime like being outside without a male or not walking 6 steps behind their husband or letting their faces or bare legs show from under their burka. And let’s not forget mutilating their women’s genitals so they can’t enjoy sex!! Nothing keeps a wife from straying like a good old fashioned mutilation of her genitals, wouldn’t you agree?
Did this help you focus on human rights abuses or do you just shrug your shoulders as Libs do when something doesn’t fit their narratives?
The original claim was this.
“Is that anything like the green light the middle east had for human rights violations when we were completely dependent on them for oil?”
And the answer to my question was " Throughout the History of Islam" which is a nonsense answer in so many ways.
So I ask again… When was the green light given for human rights violations when we were completely dependent on them for oil?
What future, if we’re relying on Chinese manufacturing for solar panels or other unreliable renewables? Biden already had a shot and failed spectacularly - show me proven leadership.

The issue I was responding to was the criticism of Trump’s, and by extension Americas dealing with China, given its record of human rights violations.
I just pointed out we’ve turned a blind eye to human rights violations long before Trump. And we will continue to do so as long as it’s in our interest. We got away from relying middle east oil under Trump. Biden will make darn sure that reliance is re-established. How does America benefit from that?

When did the US give a green light to human rights violations in the Middle East?
At the same time the green light was given to human rights violations in China of course!

Jezcoe:
By who?
You tell me, it wasn’t my statement.
Here was your statement: He gave the green light for human rights violations as long as they bought soybeans.
Were you not talking about Trump?
thats just silly. we will have a viable and vibrant alt energy industry when we can produce enough energy from it to supply our needs at a lesser cost than what we use now without subsidies and without penalties.

I wouldn’t say green light however countries are obviously ignoring that figure of 1.1 million citizens locked away in concentration camps in China. Not the concentration camps like on our border but the real deal. And it’s reported that while the men are in these concentration camps their wives get visited by the guards serving as a sort of sort comfort girl (Made In China).
I give props to the BBC for relentlessly investigating and reporting of the issue which I would guess the mass of the west doesn’t know about.
