no, they are not. we have a trade deal and agreements we did not have before. we have bilateral trade deals with most of the tpp countries and don’t need tpp. nixing it was exactly the right thing to do. bilateral deals are better and more tailored to what we need from individual countries than these big globalist messes.

China just signed a multilateral deal that is about 30% of the world’s trade.

Bilateral deals are not going to happen with economies that are in multilateral deals and small economies are not going to sign bilateral agreements with nations that far outclass them because they know they will get rolled.

Having a bunch of bilateral deals is a pipe dream.

Not to mention it’s rise in clout at UN, WHO, and so many other international organization since the us willingly backed out and gave them the opening. And all of the security/reources gains they have made with individual smaller nations.

Because it will make us dependent on middle east oil again, while simultaneously costing Americans jobs. It will also jack up gas and energy prices for Americans which will hurt them economically which will in turn cause them to have less money to buy American goods, which will hurt our economy, which will cause companies to lay people off, which will mean people have even less money… You get the point.

How does “Green energy” weaken the US?

Unreliability, for one. Less product to export, job losses, I can go on. Obama-Biden blew $100 billion of taxpayer dollars on “green jobs” that never materialized. Funny how that never got brought up during the campaign.

China exports their green energy technology to us.

Imagine if we had invested on owning it instead of buying it.

Still not too late… we can invest enough to have the next generation of energy technology come out the US or we can languish behind.

Chances are, any technology China has was stolen, probably from us.

We are not “languishing behind”. We are doing quite well with our green energy efforts. And if we are behind, how about let’s put those windmills up in the Kennedy’s back yard and maybe some big solar farms in the middle of Beverly Hills. We know how you libs feel about green energy. Panels should be made in the US or by our allies. Anything from China should be so expensive it isn’t worth buying.

They should be manufactured in the US… but any movement into subsidizing the Solar industry has been met with calls of “Socialism!!!”

And even now we still hear years later “Solyndra!!!”

So instead of owning the manufacturing of solar and other green technolgies…we don’t.

We buy them instead.

Now hoping that that manufacturing will magically appear in the country or in one that we happen too like? Without the requisite investment, that is just wishful thinking.

Then why don’t we stop taxing and regulating businesses so that it’s cheaper to build stuff here???
