A conservative group in Virginia is now suing because the roadway became a public forum. They have a mesage that they want to paint on the street. Very similar to if a city puts up a nativity scene, those with opposing views have a right to put out their message too.

It’s not a stupid response, tactically. If the larger strategy is to stifle civic commitment to change, it will probably fail. The public is rapidly moving away from everything associated with Trump, Trumpism and the ethos which produced them.
This is analogous to the rapid transition away from opposition to public acceptance of homosexuals, but with added modifier of Trump desperately and tragically mishandling an actual prestilence.
Al “I have a scheme” Sharpton NOT appearing with Dumblasio to paint graffiti on 5th Ave would be a disappointment. Great use of the public trust by the mayor-on, no wonder the need to defund the NYPD by a cool $ Billion?

Nope. He sucks.
I had hope for him when he came into office. He is woefully lacking doing the job.
He is too embedded with the real estate developers over the interests of the people.
And he arguably made the City’s plague year worse.
Yeah. He failed in a lot of ways that seriously offset the good things that he has done.

Caring isn’t pulling the funding and grouping all PD into the bad acts of the rogues.
Caring is asking how some of their work can be done by professionals with skill sets more honed to the needs of the citizens like mental health and addiction specialists.
