There’s so much garbage in that crap bull they passed. This is from a Towhall.com article quoting the President…
“ “It’s called the COVID relief bill but it has almost nothing to do with COVID,” he explained in his address. “This bill contains $85.5 million for assistance to Cambodia; $134 million to Burma; $1.3 billion for Egypt and Egyptian military, which will go out and buy almost exclusively Russian military equipment; $25 million for democracy and gender programs in Pakistan; $505 million to Beliza, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama; $40 million for the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., which is not even open for business; $1 billion for the Smithsonian and an additional $154 million for the National Gallery of Art; … $7 million for reef fish management; $25 million to combat Asian carpe; $2.5 million to count the number of amberjack fish in the Gulf of Mexico, a provision to promote the breeding of fish in federal hatcheries; $3 million in poultry production technology; $2 million to study the impact of downed trees; $566 million for construction projects at the FBI.” Then in the next paragraph…” Trump also took issue with a measure in the bill that allows illegal aliens to receive up to $1,800 in stimulus checks, a combo of the first and second relief bills.
Despite all of this wasteful spending and much more, the $900 billion package provides”.
There’s something in that pant load bill about a border wall in Jordan or Oman or somewhere…written by the same liberal fools who don’t have any interest in border security in America.
Cut out all that garbage they might be able to do significantly more for small businesses that have been devastated by “15 days to flatten the curve” which turned into 9 months and counting…without wasting all that cash overseas.
The election is over, maybe liberals and Socialist Democrats could give putting Americans first a try just once.
That’s nice and all. Meanwhile, his admin just passed a rule saying employers can take tipped workers’ tips to pay other workers.

So really, how hard is he fighting for working people, honestly?

We need a consistent and oherant response to the pandemic and to the effects our response has on our economy.
ie: Large indoor music events - not a good idea during the pandemic. Let’s close them down. Then we have to flat out support the people who work in those venues until it is safe for them to open again.
Trump isn’t doing this for “working people”. Only suckers and losers have to work.
McConnell didn’t even want to do $600, if you remember. He was against direct payments and UE extensions. “Why pay people to not work? People are making more by not working.” Remember those talking points? Those were completely off the table before as far as he was concerned…

No wonder the leftists tried to keep Pasternak’s book from seeing the light of day.

It is not surprising that repubs are trying to push the false narrative that it is the dems that did not want to give stimulus checks…
No, my friend. As I understand it, the book had to be smuggled out of Russia in the late 50s. But leftists are leftists whether they say “no” or “nyet”.
Too bad you are on the other side. I would enjoy a discussion of the one Russian novel by Dostoevsky that I read… a couple times. The Idiot took me to 19th century Russia and into a set of characters that would warp the minds of any normal person in real life. I loved it. But… alas… fraternizing with the enemy is bound to be disappointing eventually. So… I’ll just say, I envy you if you read it in the original Russian.
I believe the character Zhivago was a classic liberal. But he didn’t like politics. So, although he was a doctor, he was as naive as a fool when it came to what was happening. There are some here who fancy themselves as classic liberals as well. And they have been fed and led to believe whatever MSM is telling them. Imagine their shock when they go home someday and find this:

No it certainly doesn’t.
We know what works, quarantine those most vulnerable to serious illness or death and let everyone else get back to work.
We have over 300 million doses of vaccine ready to be distributed and at least two more that should be getting approval in the next sixty days as well and between the two the pandemic can be reduced quickly to levels we haven’t seen since April/May.
We can’t keep printing endless money without facing serious consequences not just in the near term but in the long term as well because once this pandemic is over we’ll return globally to a system where currency values fluctuate on a daily basis mostly related to the strength and solidity of the gov’ts behind them.
If the world loses faith in our ability to back up our dollars and pay our debts the economic fallout will make the last nine months look like a minor short term recession.
There is no point in keeping healthy, working age people bottled up at home and they won’t tolerate it much longer. Hundreds of thousands of businesses have already failed or are nearing failure and the longer this goes on the worse it will become.
There is only one viable solution to this and that is to get the country back to work now that we understand the virus, the epidemiology, have effective treatments, and vaccines.

That’s right! He gets it!
Which brings us back to the fact that in order to make a deal you must have at least two sides willing to deal.
The dem’s wanted as much suffering for the country as possible during his presidency to limit him to one term and they made damned sure we got it.

That’s been going on for a decade at many places run by dem’s.
