Or it could just be that Coronavirus is a single stranded rna virus, thus subject to frequent mutation and impossible to control 100%.

I have received both Moderna shots and two Moderna boosters. In August I had an extremely, mild, virtually imperceptible, case of Covid which passed quickly.

Flu shots don’t prevent you from getting the flu, but they mitigate the experience. Flu is also a single stranded rna virus, subject to continuous mutation.

Nobody (other than anti-vax cranks) questions the flu vaccine and they should not question the coronavirus vaccine for the exact same reason.

Isn’t the situation with COVID as of now comparable to the flu? Aren’t the current flu vaccines only about 40% effective? I would assume there are likely similar results with the new COVID vaccines?

Yes, and just like us normal people said from the very beginning - everyone is going to get this virus, and most people will never have a clue they even had it.
