35 Fifth-Column House Members vote NAY on Pro-ICE Resolution

See: House Passes Pro-ICE Resolution With Most Democrats Not Taking a Stance

Jul 18, 2018

”The House on Wednesday adopted a resolution expressing support for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and rejecting calls to abolish the agency with primarily Republican support as most Democrats voted “present.” The final vote was 244-35, with 133 Democrats voting present.”

CLICK HERE for the roll-call vote and take note of the 35 Fifth-Column members of the House who refuse to support the good work of ICE and voted NAY on the following Resolution:

Supporting the officers and personnel who carry out the important mission of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Whereas the national security interests of the United States are dependent on the brave men and women who enforce our Nation’s immigration laws;

Whereas abolishing the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would mean open borders because it would eliminate the agency responsible for removing people who enter or remain in our country illegally;

Whereas calls to abolish ICE are an insult to these heroic law enforcement officers who make sacrifices every day to secure our borders, enforce our laws, and protect our safety and security;

Whereas abolishing ICE would allow dangerous criminal aliens, including violent and ruthless members of the MS–13 gang, to remain in American communities;

Whereas during fiscal year 2017, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested more than 127,000 aliens with criminal convictions or charges;

_Whereas criminal aliens arrested by ICE ERO in fiscal year 2017 were responsible for more than— _

(1) 76,000 dangerous drug offenses;
(2) 48,000 assault offenses;
(3) 11,000 weapon offenses;
(4) 5,000 sexual assault offenses;
(5) 2,000 kidnapping offenses; and
(6) 1,800 homicide offenses;

Whereas ICE Homeland Security Investigations made 4,818 gang-related arrests in fiscal year 2017;

Whereas abolishing ICE would mean that countless illegal aliens who could pose a threat to public safety would be allowed to roam free instead of being removed from American soil;

Whereas abolishing ICE would mean more dangerous illegal drugs flowing into our communities, causing more Americans to needlessly suffer;

Whereas ICE plays a critical role in combatting the drug crisis facing our Nation;

Whereas ICE seized more than 980,000 pounds of narcotics in fiscal year 2017, including thousands of pounds of the deadly drugs fueling the opioid crisis;

Whereas ICE seized 2,370 pounds of fentanyl and 6,967 pounds of heroin in fiscal year 2017;

Whereas ICE logged nearly 630,000 investigative hours directed toward fentanyl in fiscal year 2017;

Whereas abolishing ICE would leave these drugs in our communities to cause more devastation;

Whereas abolishing ICE would mean eliminating the agency that deports aliens that pose a terrorist threat to the United States;

Whereas ICE was created in 2003 to better protect national security and public safety after 9/11 terrorists exploited immigration rules to gain entry into the United States;

Whereas the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks found that many of the 9/11 hijackers committed visa violations;

Whereas ICE identifies dangerous individuals before they enter our country and locates them as they violate our immigration laws; and

Whereas abolishing ICE would enable the hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals who illegally overstay their visa each year to remain in the United States indefinitely: Now, therefore, be it
_Resolved, That the House of Representatives— _

(1) expresses its continued support for all United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and personnel who carry out the important mission of ICE;
(2) denounces calls for the complete abolishment of ICE; and
(3) supports the efforts of all Federal agencies, State law enforcement, and military personnel who bring law and order to our Nation’s borders.

Also note the 135 Democrats who were spineless, refused to take a public stand and voted “Present”.

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance the economic needs of millions of poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled aliens who have invaded America’s borders.

Well, looks like you called the Dems voting “present” on this. Nice job.

OMG… A house resolution sounds very serious… Is that like a house resolution for National Day of Civility?

35 Fifth-Column House Members

Or, perhaps, it was simply 35 DULY ELECTED House Members who did not feel they would be adequately serving their constituents by voting YEA for that idiotic piece of NEEDLESS resolution legislation?

Do you not understand? This was a house RESOLUTION !. :blush:

What a stupid “resolution”. Kabuki.

House RESOLUTION, is that like a New Year’s RESOLUTION I make in my house, only without the hangover?

Well I will have you know it exposed 35 Fifth-Column House nembers!

Does that sound “stupid”?

Horribly stupid. They need to stop screwing around and get to work.

They are working.

Since we are “debating” I would argue that your New Year’s RESOLUTION at least involved a good time… Oops… sorry, need to reword that… whereas, your New Year’s Resolution involved having fun, the house resolution was just a boring, nonsense vote with no effect…

That’s play. Politicians and actors are the stupidest people on the planet. And we treat them like royalty.

I don’t think this thread is turning out as the OP intended.

Well my wife was convinced my resolutions were boorish and totally nonsensical.

But you are right. There was fun, and some frolic, but mostly fun.

I think it was politically motivated.

How many times have you heard a Democrat member of Congress telling us “I had to vote my conscious”? Well, it appears the conscious of 135 Democrat members of the House told them to vote “YEA”, but their yellow belly won out and they voted “Present” because they can’t be caught agreeing with “conservative” Republicans ___ even when its in the best interests of the general welfare of the United States.

Without a Fifth Column Media, Yellow Journalism, Hollywood, and a corrupted FBI, Loretta Lynch, Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama, would be making license tags in a federal penitentiary

It sounds like we need a SELECT committee to investigate… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You are all balls deep upset over 35 nay votes. Dude what about the 160 or so “present” votes. People to cowardly to make a vote oneway or another. Like Obama in his Senate days.

And seriously getting bent over a resolution. That’s funny.
