33 killed in largest terror attack in Japanese history

33 people were killed in Japan today when someone attack an animation studio.

Police said the 41-year-old suspect broke into the Kyoto Animation studio on Thursday morning and sprayed petrol before igniting it.

The suspect has been detained and was taken to hospital with injuries.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the incident was “too appalling for words” and offered condolences.

It is one of Japan’s worst mass casualty incidents since World War Two.

Kyoto Animation, known as KyoAni, produces films and graphic novels, and is well regarded by fans for the quality of its productions.

33 victims. No posts. It’s not really about the dead, is it hoplophobes?

Thoughts and prayers for the families affected.

All that with a can of gasoline, huh? What a terrible event.

Japan will likely insist that the guilty party be punished instead of something asinine like raising taxes on gasoline to curb future violence. Conflict of agendas.

I’m guessing arson is already illegal in Japan.

Be my guess too, just like murder is here.

Maybe they don’t know the thread is here?

OTB is kinda a desert. What are you going do?

Or maybe people would just rather talk about the President’s latest rally?

I’ve been told it’s not. I called it a graveyard.

Even @mobulis and @westaussie aren’t here.

I don’t understand it. The default setting for me is that al feeds are shown. I haven’t altered that, so I continue to see OTB and Religion threads that get some traction. It’s not like the old board.

Could it be something else?

Terrorism in Japan isn’t an engaging topic at Hannity forums?

Would you rather be shot or burned? If you had to go.

It kind of depends on the day.

You’re a waste of my time. Good day.

Definitely shot. Preferably through the brain stem.

Not unless guns are involved … preferably black ones with adjustable stocks, 100 round clips, bayonet lugs, and flash suppressors.

What are we supposed to be discussing, exactly?
