The AstraZeneca vaccine which is currently being used by 70 countries is sitting in a freezer in West Chester Ohio waiting for it’s shelf life to expire. The U.S. has not approved it’s use. So AstraZeneca has asked The Biden administration to allow them to ship it to other countries who desperately need it. Specifically the E.U. who is currently struggling to vaccinate it’s population. Biden has said no. We’re not sure why. It would be a shame to throw out 30 million doses needlessly.

America Has Millions Of Vaccine Doses It Can’t Use | The Daily Caller

Criminal. Not really but you know what I mean.

After re reading the story…I see that A Z HAS NOT YET APPLIED FOR EMERGNCY USE. MAYBE THATS WHY ITS NOT APPROVED?

Biden is also looking like he is denying the request that these doses be shipped to the EU.

A pretty America First stance.

Was just getting ready to make that statement. And retract what I was originally saying. He’s looking out for us…not worrying about EU.

You’d think the OP would appreciate this position by the Biden Administration

You’d think. :innocent:

How is it looking out for anyone if they expire?

Some other country will take it.

No it isn’t. It isn’t approved here and it’s expiring. That’s not America First. That’s stupidity.

We can’t take it. And it doesn’t look like we need it.

When do they expire?

Why do we even have it? Isn’t that the one from the UK?

Here’s a better article with more information.

We have no business sitting on this.

The administration’s hesitation is at least partly related to uncertainties with vaccine supply before a benchmark of late May laid down by President Biden when he promised enough vaccine doses to cover every adult in the United States. Vaccine production is notoriously complex and delicate, and problems like mold growth can interrupt a plant’s progress.

Seem like an America first stance to me.

Especially seeing that the EU exported 34 million doses as they face shortages.

America isn’t in that line and it’s not America only. Stop dude.

Shelf life is 6 months. The question is when we’re they made.

Depends…when was it made. Has a shelf life of 6 months.

When AZ applies for emergency approval and that approval is granted it will be.

America First!!!

We don’t need it.
