I have already articulated on this site that my own personal view is that I do support abortion.

However, I accept that a woman has the right to choose. And as I have previously stated on this site that if I was a member of a house of parliament that was required to pass legislation on abortion I would vote in favour of making abortions legal subject to certain restrictions.

If you accept abortions you support abortions. It’s really that simple.

Why do you guys object to background checks since their part of due process.

We don’t. We even support giving individuals access to the NICS so we can make sure someone we don’t know we’ll is eligible to possess a gun. What we oppose is a requirement that all private transfers be conducted through an FFL, because that not only adds cost, it requires registration of all existing guns, which is unconstitutional and which we oppose bitterly. (Not to mention that it is impossible to implement without major violations of our rights.)

Point out where gun registration is unconstitutional.

I have never sold a gun, but if I did, I would never sell to someone I do not know well. Having access to the NICS would broaden my market. That access would be a benefit to individual gun owners, and at the same time go a long way to defuse the calls by some for “universal background checks.”
