And that is pretty much where I am with this.
Now if she had had just expired plates or something like that then standing in front of the car pulling a fireaem might be too much but she wasnt and no one can say she was just some innocent woman out for a bit of shopping.
Actions have consequences.

Trying to shoot tires out is like trying to shoot someone in the leg or arm.
Number 1 you’re gonna miss. And number 2 she escalated the situation to the lethal zone by attempting to run over him. And a lethal threat forces a lethal response.
I’ve looked for a trigger finger target, but can’t find any.

If the cop hadn’t pulled his weapon, he’d have really looked like a dumb dumb when she ran him over.

She was shoplifting, they had her tag so why not let her go and pick her up later. Why did the police officer have to stand in front of her car?
Sure she was stupid as ■■■■ for doing what she did but just genuinely wondering why the police officer did what he did.
How were the cops supposed to know she was only a shop lifter (maybe she stole the car too … maybe she was a fugitive of a major crime)? And how were they supposed to know she would pull something so stupid? They had her detained. They did not know who she was or who the car belonged to (no tags, remember?) so how would they know where to look for her? And what if they somehow managed to find her again … what if she ran again? Should they let her go again?
It’s too bad she is dead … it’s too bad she was so stupid.

I asked a question. Could be the police officer was entirely justified. Just wondered why he stood in front of the car. Yes there could be a valid reason which was what I was thinking.
Only opinion I offered is that what she did was ■■■■■■■ stupid.
Maybe he wanted to be certain that she saw that she had nowhere to escape so as to encourage her to obey the other cop’s demand that she get out of the car and surrender.

Again I was not defending her actions just asking a question. When I made my original post I did not know the car had no tags so that answered that.
As for being a fugitive of a major crime thats not really a good reason. You could say that the police can then open fire on anyone just on case they are a violent criminal.
Like I said she is at fault here, sad but true.

And attacks an Officer with a deadly weapon. They should be able too.

Well yes but that is the case when anyone attacks an officer with a weapon or tries to do them harm (this womans actions seem to fit both) but what I was saying is that a police officer just cannot use lethal force because that person could perhaps be a violent criminal.

There is only two things here that “have to do” with his argument. Cop, dead individual=black. If we were discussing (well odds are we wouldn’t because it wouldn’t make national news) cop, dead white individual. That is all that matters here.
I didn’t mention race, you did.
I’d say the same for a white woman/man. Post one up and let’s discuss.
Yea, somehow I have a VERY hard time believing that…

The poster was singing a different tune when a coward hid in the corner and shot an unarmed white woman on Jan 6.

Except that is NOT why they opened fire. That’s why they had their guns drawn. Good thing they did, as it turned out.
