Or she was scared? Either way, The cops didn’t follow protocol. I expect them to be better trained than your average 21 year old female.

Yes … get rid of evidence. They would have a lot more trouble making the case for theft against her if she drank the whiskey and tossed the bottle into some random dumpster. And how much would chasing down that VIN (if they could read it before she drove off … if the car was hers) cost the taxpayers … all for a bottle of liquor? You seem to think policing is a game.

Link showing showing her committing the theft on video?

UNTIL she used the car and attempt to run over the cop. Funny you dismiss that little fact.

For a misdemeanor? :rofl::rofl:

I didn’t say there was video showing her. Stores have cameras and they could have used them.

Don’t change the subject. You asked “who cares?” I told you.

She moved the vehicle after the cop in front drew his weapon. And after the other cop was banging on her window.

The cop shouldn’t have been in front of the vehicle.

Your link is talking about drinking alcohol while pregnant. You have no idea if she was.

Luckily, they didn’t try to take a picture … They probably would have been run over. With the resolution of those lapel cams they would have to be two feet away. :smirk:

One of the cops was about 1 foot away and not in any danger or being ran over.

C’mon man. The cops didn’t know anything about this woman other that she had been accused of stealing and that she was refusing to cooperate. They most certainly did not know she was pregnant (not that that factored into any of it anyway.)

But despite your contention, disproportionate force is a proven method to de-escalate a potentially violent situation. Most people are smart enough to recognize that they cannot win.

If the cops did not draw their guns, this thread would be about the death or severe injuring of a cop run over by a fleeing shoplifting suspect.

The only thing you said there that I agree with is “This is garbage.” Nothing you just said has validity.

You didn’t watch the video. That cop was not ran over even before he shot.

You didn’t answer my earlier questions … Is that a wise use of public funds? Should they do that with every criminal who wants to leave the site of their impending arrest?

Yes she was … She was armed with a 3000 pound vehicle. And for all the cops knew :because she refused to cooperate) she might have had a gun too.

Armed … with a potentially deadly 3000 pound vehicle … which she tried to use on one of the cops.

And the cop didn’t follow protocol and stood in front of it…

It doesn’t matter if she was scared, her actions were deliberate, criminal and potentially deadly.

And where are you getting “the cops didn’t follow protocol”?

What makes you think so? And when are the cops supposed to have used them? While she was sitting there in her car or after she ran off? How much manpower and money should the DA squander on a misdemeanor theft of a bottle of booze?

You just keep getting sillier and sillier. :smirk:
