the voter was registered in 2002, obviously fraudulent and the status was challenged. A ballot can be submitted, but with a challenged voter status it cannot be counted. There are very specific requirements in all states to have the challenge revoked.

So why is a challenged registration allowed to stand for 18 years with no resolution while they keep getting to submit ballots even if you rationalize they supposedly are not counted?

The fact you find that OK and normal is disturbing.

because it’s up to the registered voter to defend the challenge, and since the person is dead there’s no one to prove they are a valid voter.

I didn’t say it was okay. I just pointed out how it works. on it’s face, it seems the registration is being used as proof of fraud, probably by those who registered the voter, but there is zero proof that fraud occurred since there is no record of the ballot being accepted and counted. the record ends at vote received.

I’d like to see the ballot status of a valid voter, does it show vote accepted in the database?

In Florida mine shows received in a separate line and at the bottom it says it was tabulated. Received does not mean counted here and I expect that’s pretty universal.

A few interesting tidbits.

“Received” means the vote is counted.

The date, 9/19/2020 was for overseas/military ballots. 9/27/2020 was for domestic ballots.

I don’t know what “challenged” means in Michigan.

EDIT: I should clarify. When it says “received” that means the election clerk has received the ballot, verified the signature, and will count the vote on election day. IF YOU ARE DECEASED, either when you filled out you ballot or in between the days to election day, your vote is not allowed to be cast.

I think whataboutism is a legit defense of Donald’s behavior right now.

Maybe he should wait and see if he actually wins? Imagine how ridiculous he’s going to look if that happens. OR, more likely, he’ll say his bigly excellent efforts to save the election process (and therefore America) redeemed the nation.

I won’t be…if he loses, he loses, it happens. Now if Trump sues to stop legitimate votes being counted and his Supreme Court rules in his favor. Then I’ll scream…along with many others.

Trump’s legal adviser pretty much shot down any chance of that happening by suggesting the three appointees…and especially Amy Coney Barrett…are beholden to Trump.

He has delegitimized SCOTUS before any case is brought to them.

Now no ruling of theirs can be trusted because the case has been prejudiced from the start.

After taking the position counting them after the statutory date was illegal, he would be a hypocrite if he wanted them to keep counting just because he was ahead. Note, AP headline somewhat misleading as the court refused a stay but left the door open to challenge it later. As you don’;t have standing until you are harmed.

Especially since it doesn’t even help him as the PA SoS has said the number of ballots received between Nov 3 and today (thus far) numbers in the hundreds. And you know Trump’s team knows this.

And I don’t doubt that…political groups worked overtime to make sure voters knew to get their ballots in WAY early, and to use the drop boxes at their voter sites instead of the suspect DeJoy USPS.

The voter services offices and drop boxes were humming with activity in the weeks leading up to the election.

Here in PA, I likely received 200 text messages and 50 phone calls in October from people regarding early voting.

I started replying with fun facts to the texters (e.g., Did you know we put a man on the moon before we put wheels on a suitcase? Did you know the date MTV premiered is closer to WWII than to today?)

Foreign interference in our elections is a fact, though I don’t really see it as a major problem. Trump’s accusations of voter fraud are directed at US citizens and have mostly been proven ■■■■■■■■ so far.
