Why do you think that that is?

The verdict is still out on Biden. So far two months in nothing profoundly positive can be tied to this administration. The economy for 1Q is exploding thanks to Trump. One million shots + into people arms daily was already happening prior to Jan 21st too.
Negatives since Biden include higher fuel prices and a crisis brewing at the southern border.

Yes… he did. It was the one thing that he did right.
Everything else… like gathering large groups of people together in the middle of a pandemic to feed his ego was malevolent.

So you believe the Dem governors including CA, MI, NJ, NY and PA,mandating residents in their respective states to be released from hospitals into nursing homes often carrying covid-19 was not evil and over-the-top dictatorship style like leadership?

Other people ■■■■■■■ up does not absolve the President of his failures.

Certainly not a surprise the rationale proffered. Of course, the rationale is nonsense for amongst other reasons the list does not include China, Russia or India. Also, it is not reasonable to have such a restrictive list of jurisdictions.

The POTUS can not mandate states to do much of anything.
Maybe you need a refresher course on the 10th Amendment ?

I am not talking about mandates.
The way that Trump handled his role during the pandemic was a failure from top to bottom. He got one thing right… one out of a myriad of things that he did wrong.

Don’t shot the messenger, I just gave you the definition.
China and Russia also do NOT conduct free and fair elections like major countries including India.
And India did not have their general election in 2020 either…

We are each entitled to our opinion and obviously can agree to disagree too.
To me, Trump administration also saved tens of thousands of lives early on with ventilators, PPE, treatments and the like.

If trump didn’t downplay the virus and didn’t have super spreaders at teh WH he would have easily won reelection.

Your opinion is not shared by at least 74 million people strong, a record vote tally for an incumbent.
I was not shooting the messenger though I will point out that the list was provided in your post. The list of “major countries” should have nothing to do whether the country conducts “free and/or fair” elections. Further it is not reasonable to eliminate jurisdictions such as NZ from the observation that competent governments were returned.
Context is so important when it comes down to election results. That is, just quoting the number of votes one candidate received is meaningless unless the opposition candidate’s vote count is also given.

He seriously ■■■■■■ that up also by doing next to nothing during the month of February when he knew full well that Covid was serious.
The delivery of PPE was chaotic in the way that the States had to compete with each other thunderdome style for scarce resources thus driving up the price for States with cratering economies and tax revenues only in some cases to have that PPE either outbid by the Federal government (at a really high price) or just outright seized.
The Kushner debacle of Project Airbridge ended up being a huge grift where distribution was based on business relationships and not need.
They were caught flat footed because they denied the severity of the pandemic until they couldn’t ignore it anymore.
The same people who praise Trump for magically cutting through all of the red tape for vaccine emergency authorization completely forget the foot dragging on the failure of the initial covid test (something that I don’t blame Trump for) and the inability to fix that problem in enough time to understand where the virus was spreading.

Under developed countries include India, Russia and China.
New Zealand still does not make the cut to be considered major like the USA re your election loss theory.
Who was suggesting that NZ was a “major country”? Certainly not me. However, it is a completely moot point in the context of my commentary surrounding election results subsequent to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For starters, Trump ordered the closing of borders early on, including China in late January.
Meanwhile Biden was asleep at the switch crying xenophobia while still continuing to campaign into March.

Ok, didn’t do any in depth research on it.
Did any other countries who have performed better than the USA make a similar decision contemporaneous with the USA’s decision to close their borders?
