Lets consider a different time point…the economy under Bill Clinton was going along extremely well. Through no fault of his own, GWB had 9/11 occur and we went to war. The economy took a complete ■■■■. Its pretty obvious to anyone being objective that GWB was NOT a continuation of the economy which proceeded him. This would be the antithesis of what we are talking about. President Obama inhereted a mess when he took office, and by the end, even if it wasnt roaring along, the economy was better in every metric than when he started. That trend has continued under President Trump. He is to be congratulated for continuing that trend. What cannot be stated is that he started that trend.

Oh, and for good measure, some people need to decide if the numbers we are seeing are great or anemic, because Ive seen then called both depending on who was sitting in the Oval Office. Donald Trump is running numbers currently that are being touted as great things and the sign of a roaring economy now, but when those ALMOST IDENTICAL numbers were happening under the last administration, they were called pathetic and weak.

All Im asking for is a little consistency.

Here is something we should all celebrate: If this Friday’s BLS report indicates that the US economy added jobs in September (and I suspect that it will), we will have achieved EIGHT YEARS in which we added jobs each and every month without fail. The current streak began in October 2010. This is by far the longest streak of US jobs creation in recorded history. I forget exactly where the second longest streak ended, but it was somewhere around 44 or 46 months, IIRC.

Oh yeah many of the states that were clamoring about minimum wage passed laws that progressively increase the wage annually until it reaches certain amounts.

My point was one company’s starting salary has no influence on government mandated minimum wage. If a company starts at above min wage, yay, great for them. it will likely help them attract a better group of employees.

Do you not know? Most Democrats on here to me seem to like to ask questions for specific details, simply because they either don’t know the answer, or can’t seem to get detailed themselves. Unlike Burrack Insane Obama, Trump isn’t letting other countries screw us over any more! He says enough is enough! He’s for fair trade. He goes to other nations and says basically that they’ve been screwing us over enough, and America is sick and tired of it!!!
So basically he redid the deals with Canada and Mexico, where America didn’t have to bend over backwards in the deal, and get screwed. Unlike Obama, who apologized to everyone, and was the lacking stock of the nations! lol. Trump is making America get ahead, or at least even overall. Unlike people like Obama and the DEms, who seem to wish to only get paid off, and look the other way for certain things?

For starters, I am one of the more conservative posters on these forums. Secondly, as suspected, you have no clue whether this is better for us or not. You have empty platitudes and rhetoric only. It’s all about how what Trump says makes you feel. Well, I’m glad he is helping you with your feels and all.

But as a conservative American who believes in actual free and fair trade, and not just feels, I’m going to need to see the details before I declare this some victory for America.
