Here is something we should all celebrate: If this Friday’s BLS report indicates that the US economy added jobs in September (and I suspect that it will), we will have achieved EIGHT YEARS in which we added jobs each and every month without fail. The current streak began in October 2010. This is by far the longest streak of US jobs creation in recorded history. I forget exactly where the second longest streak ended, but it was somewhere around 44 or 46 months, IIRC.
EIGHT YEARS!
