Heaven forbid people be upset that the United States, the world’s sole superpower and alleged leader of the free world has 4% of the total global population and 25% of the casualties from this pandemic. We are doing so poorly in combating this pandemic, by comparison to the rest of the developed world, that we have been banned from countries like Canada and the Bahamas, or anywhere in the European Union. And there is one primary reason for this failure. The lack of leadership and action by the Executive Branch of the United States Government, under Donald Trump.
We are barreling towards 250,000 dead Americans by the end of the year. None of this is acceptable. None of it at all. This is failure on a massive scale that history will look back on with shock and horror. And your chief complaint is that people are bitching about it. Holy ■■■■ man.

Okay. I didn’t understand you’re reasoning. Just politically I think Klobuchar would be good. Very middle of the road. That’s why I didn’t get a no on Klobuchar but yes on Whitmer. Whitmer is still my preference, but I’ve stated before that I’m biased. She lives only a mile or two away from me.

I can understand why Trump lovers wouldn’t be able to see any other perspective that is not full of adulation for the man. So your misconception makes sense, even if dramatically misplaced.
But I’m happy that it makes you more comfortable to find my concern for the lives of my fellow Americans to be something you consider derangement, rather than genuine concern. I know what’s in my heart. And if it helps ease your discomfort with things to call me deranged, then it is no skin off my back.

Personally I despise today’s Democrat Party, for various reasons, but likely the best thing for the country is for Trump to lose but the Republicans keep the Senate and take back the House.
I don’t care what you think about it, he doesn’t have the constitutional authority to take over how the states responded.
All he can do is provide support which is exactly what he did.
The one thing he had the authority to do was to limit immigration and to close the borders and for merely suggesting it you all went insane screaming racism and xenophobia.
That isn’t their job, that is the job of the states.
What makes you think anyone in DC is capable of performing the duties of state and local health departments?
No such authority exists.
