Yes, it’s an official copy. It was signed and handed to her and she ripped it. At the very least, she should be censured. The only way to put an end to this divisiveness is for the House to get control of it’s members and put an end to the lack of decorum, dignity and civility. As an former elected official, I had heated interactions but no one was ever allowed to be disrespectful. I’m shocked this is being allowed without consequence and encouraged. There has to be boundaries, and as long as the boundaries are crossed without consequence, if even basic civility isn’t being enforced, we all lose.

If each person exacerbates or one ups the others actions, where does it end? For goodness sake, we’ve sat through an entire Presidency with our House being embroiled in one personal attack after another, at some point we should all be saying “ENOUGH”. Nope. The official copy would be provided to the House of Representatives Clerk and a transcript recorded from the actual floor speech (since you know sometimes politicians go off script) would be entered into the record.

I’ve used the term “House Clerk”, would you happen to know the official title of the individual responsible for receiving such communications from the White House to the House?

I’m assuming that the document is recorded in two or three places such as: White House official correspondence, House of Representatives Congressional Record, and National Archives (who probably have written and video copies).
