It is remembered and studied. We have black history month as well.

IMO, all aspects of history should be taught in school but it should not be politicized.

I did. It actually is quite good spot on.

If it was studied and understood we wouldn’t have Andrew Jackson on our money and there would not be one statue honoring Confederates.

So you’re saying that the system keeps us all down equally?

no. but the system drags all of us down at the same rate unless we support ourselves

Maybe we should have one government approved television channel as well.

The “system” gives equal opportunity, not equal outcomes.

That is a silly response.

Perhaps I think yours was as well.

exactly!

Not in 1776

The foundation was established in 1776. A house worth a damn isn’t built overnight.

The US is 234 years old. ~180 of those years did not have “equal opportunity”

Do we all have equal opportunity now?

To this very day we are granted equal opportunity. To this very day and as far into the future or past as you can possibly see, that does not mean equal outcome.

This is an argument nobody is making, except for you.

And made their black residents citizens with all the equal protection under the law?

Cool. I’ve always been an independent not a hive thinker.

Your argument is not relevant to the discussion. No one making the claim that minorities are seeking equal outcomes.

However equal opportunity (which was an argument you made) was non-existent in 1776 for black people.

Of course it is.

You just don’t like the outcome of the argument.
