Gun control

“Let me say this: I think we need to do more to protect all of our citizens. I have long advocated — this is not what today is about, but there are too many guns on the street,” the Democratic governor said, when asked if anything more needs to be done to protect politicians. “Background checks, shutting down gun show loopholes — that’s not for today’s discussion, but it’s not just about politicians. We worry about this every day for all of our citizens.”

That is nothing.

It says nothing.

It does nothing.

The checks that exist are missed.

Yes I was, I am not an expert on the Waco siege but Sorry mate not playing whatever game you are playing.

Bill Clinton and Janet Reno. Didn’t even need to look it up.

Horrible screwup by that pair there.

Of course, they did. This is part of the same conniving crowd which pretends the federal government is vested with an extraordinary centralized and absolute power to enforce the Second Amendment [part of our first ten amendments to our Constitution] on the states, when in fact those amendments were specifically and intentionally adopted in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of the newly created government’s powers, SOURCE. And those amendments were also intended to preserve and protect federalism SOURCE which in this case prohibits national laws meddling with the people’s right to keep and bear arms.

But hey, this crowd pretends, and very convincingly I might add, to be the friends of the right to keep and bear arms. But when they see favorable emotions running high to restrict and infringe upon the right to keep and bear arms, they join with the despotic and revolutionary Democrat Party Leadership, and together they move forward with full force and fury to subjugate our federal constitution’s Tenth Amendment and propose to use federal power to whittle away at the right to keep and bear arms, which our founders new was the only way for the States and people therein, to defend against a tyrannical government.

Jefferson was absolutely correct when he wrote: "In matters of power let no more be heard of confidence in men, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution” __ Thomas Jefferson, the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798 The only problem I now see is, why have a written constitution, approved by the people, if those who it is meant to control are free to make it mean whatever they wish it to mean?

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.___ Benjamin Franklin, 1755

The Koresh cult massacre reminds us to not rely on government and to temper our outrage as the Uvalde case facts emerge.

The Feds were taking the guns from the Koresh clan. How did that work out?

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And that is why gun control freaks detest federalism . . . it is an obstacle to controlling and subjugating the people completely.

Why is it that Republican gun grabbers always begin by saying they support the Second Amendment and then go on to advance legislation opening the door for unconstitutional Second Amendment regulation?

I can only assume it is the perception of action over the reality of the failure of the actual cause and existing laws.

With crime so poorly prosecuted now these legislative catcalls are even more absurd.

No they are not! Guns are not a government benefit, they are personal possessions. Government’s only involvement is to protect our right to possess them … to protect our right against government infringement.
