A shrink will ask him how he feels about killing someone, and then try to convince the kid that he’s in mental anguish and that saving his grandma wasn’t worth it when the kid says he’s happy his grandma didn’t die.

Ironically, if they talk to him and convince him he needs “help”, they can label him as “mentally ill” and he will not be allowed to legally own a firearm, so no more defending himself or loved ones.
I’m surprised the psych community doesn’t have some kind of syndrome for this that Big Pharma can hurry up and rename Zoloft or Paxil for. Underage Defender Syndrome, known in the psych community as UDS or some such ■■■■■■■■■

Humans react to stimuli differently. We are individuals.

Instead of taking him to a shrink right off the bat wouldn’t it be better to wait since he will be around the family anyway and they’ll be the first to notice any changes if they happen?
