I’d say it is all but guaranteed to have been all smoke.
That is flat out BS. Cheap wages in places like Mexico and China was the draw and NAFTA and GATT opened the doors.
What’s everyone so concerned about. The stable economic genius assures us that trade wars are good and easy to win. He couldn’t possibly be mistaken or lying could he?

Yep… That was one of the good things about the flawed TPP.
Increased market share for US agricultural in Asia.
Yet another conservative value that Trump is flushing down the toilet, and his “conservative” supporters are all too willing to follow along.
Its not a personal attack. You previously had a completely different opinion of bail outs but now you are defending them. You have not explained why you have evolved on this position in fact you refuse to acknowledge your previous position. The only conclusion I can come to is that you are defending this bail out simply because its Trump doing it which is a hypocritical position to take.
There is absolutey nothing personal in this.
Paying for votes with freebies…

These idiots aren’t and never were conservatives.
You lost jobs more based on education and costs.
When Toyota decided build 2 new plants near me the reasons were a better educated worker and lower costs due to our health care system.
You couldn’t debate on the points of what I said so immediately the personal attack. I get it. I’ve observed this sort of thing for many years.
Cheap wages did move some heavy industry out of the country.
But… you cannot deny the facts that the US has gained more production capacity with fewer and fewer people and that is due to automation.
You know when people talk about a $15 minimum wage and the go to first response is automated kiosks at McDonald’s?
It is kind of like that.
No personal attack but nice deflection. I await your debate on the points raised by other posters. I see no point in trying to debate with you because you refuse to acknolwledge the fact that you held a completely opposite view on bail outs under Obama. So until you explain that what else is there to discuss?
You know what these idiots don’t get. Food is a basic commodity. If you build your economy on it demand does not dry up but grows with the population.
There is a reason I stay in the grocery industry instead of the auto industry where in the short term I can make more money. People have to eat and do it every day no matter how tight money is.
You have a faulty memory…probably a direct result of TDS but I was in favor of Obama bailing out GM for national security reasons.
Yes, exactly. Yet according to him tariffs are “great” even though the bail outs and job losses have already begun. What an idiot.
And here is a story about it I’m sure you are familiar with since it is happening in your own state.
‘I want him to fix it’: Trump voters sorry now that tariffs are killing their Missouri nail factory
You think I am going to try and answer every single demand from the hive? Think again.
Its a question from me but others are thinking it as well. You are refusing to see that its a valid question when previously you opposed bail outs but now support them. We all know if this was Obama saying this you would be opposing it. Therefore I am left to conclude that you are a political hypocrite which is not an attack but an observation based on what you have said and you refuse to try and defend your position.
They should pull themselves up by the bootstraps.
He has already given up on this thread, knowing full well he can’t defend his position. Does that alot actually.
I actually believe you held that position and at least you are willing to explain unlike others. Seems your position is that each bail out has to be assessed on its own merits which is a valid one.
